The systems of authority by administrative groups governing various states differ in many ways. The administrative groups that have authority in governing political states constitute governments. Two or more governments can have similar ways of governance but there are always some acute contrasts. The American system of government can, for instance, be compared to that of Great Britain. In comparison, both similarities and dissimilarities exist between the two systems of government.
All citizens in the two nations have the right to vote in the national elections and in any other elections including by-elections. These rights come in irrespective of any differences among citizens such as gender, skin color, race, or religion. The only condition giving the right to vote in the two systems of government is that a voter has to be eighteen years of age and above and is a legal citizen. It further gives the implication that both systems of governments value democracy. The US is considered more democratic than the UK (Zukerman). One major reason for this is that while the dates of the election are fixed in the US as two or four or even six year as the intervals, in the UK the Prime Minister has the power to decide on the election dates. This is only allowed if the dates are within five years after the last national election.
In comparing the American and British systems of government, the constitution may form a fundamental base in the comparison. The two nations have constitutions but in different forms. The US government has a written constitution but the UK has its constitution in the form of constitutional provisions that are scattered over different Acts of Parliament. The British Acts of Parliaments are free and easy to change by simple majority while the US constitution cannot be changed easily, even in very difficult political conditions (Zukerman). The power of the executive is given a strict separation power by the US constitution while the power is not provided by the British system of government. The strict separation of powers is a distinctive feature with the American constitution and system of government. The US system of government like any other British colony seems to imitate the parliamentary system of the British government.

The Bill of Rights ensures civil liberty to every American citizen. Various amendments have been done by some former political leaders on the Bill of Rights for the good of American citizens. Those who changed felt it good enough for social, political, or economic development from the point of each citizen or the American society as a whole. Some changes are but worth making since they could be of value to the Americans.
One of the amendments is Lawsuits against states. This was amendment 11 and stood against the judicial power being construed in extending to any suit in equity or law against a US state by any citizen of another US state or by any US citizen from foreign nations. This ensured that there is equity and single rule of law in all states and that all citizens exercise the same laws (Alfred).
Amendment 12 is about the US presidential elections. It was done to ensure that all elector meet in only in their states during elections in order to vote. The amendment provides that elector shall vote by ballot boxes. This amendment provides for the President and the Vice President of the United States. It provides that by any chance, only one between the two should come from a single state (Independence Hall Association). Both of them cannot originate from the same state. This amendment was done to ensure that there was free and fair election throughout the states of the US.
Amendment 13 was done to abolish slavery. It provided that beside slavery, involuntary servitude other than for the purpose of punishment should not exist. At the same time, this was strengthened by the civil rights under amendment 14. This amendment provides that all citizens should have the same privileges and there should be no laws that are against any legal citizen in the US. Some citizens especially the blacks were considered inferior and the only way to protect them was through this amendment. Concerning these amendments, there is nothing to change since they perfectly protect the right of every American.
Answer to question 3
Civil liberty of the US constitutes rights that are retained by the United States citizens. They are provided for in the constitution and the Supreme Court gives their clarification and interpretation. In this case, citizens are protected constitutionally or lawfully from the entities that are more powerful than they are (Independence Hall Association). Such powerful entities over majority individual citizens include other individuals, the government, or parts of it, and corporations. Civil liberty greatly affects democracy in the US. The liberty and rights given to citizens have affected government projects at a significant level.
Freedom of speech has been protected as a civil liberty. This was the first American amendment. It gives the right of speech of various forms whether personal expressions against the government or religious views. The press comes in through this civil liberty. Press has been used to manipulate people politically or even against some organizations or system of governments in the United States. In the same case, people can form an assembly as provided for by the constitution to portray their grievances. This can be against a certain issue or the government itself. The effect is that the government has to be democratic and serve the people accordingly (Alfred).
Only true statement are protected. Any individual or group of individuals issuing false statements may be eligible for punishment. False statements or speeches that are defamatory are not protected by the constitution. Economic developments as well as social and political progress in the US have been activated by such civil liberties (Alfred). The US is a democratic country. The basic conflict exist when individuals or a group of individuals exercise civil liberty that could be harmful to the country such as uniting against the government under no reasonable cause.
Answer to Question 4
Political campaigns are often associated with certain beliefs. Mitt Romney, the Republican Presidential candidate believes that the president has not done enough for the country. Against this, the President believes to have done much and supports himself by not having accomplished his mission. The Romney beliefs to be the rescuer of the country from economic recessions and is currently using his plan manifesto in campaigning against the current president Barack Obama. He believes to be in a position of strengthening the middle class group of people and in being able to create more jobs for the youth. In fact he has a strong belief that with the utilization of the many natural resources available in the country, more than twelve million jobs can be created during his first term as the US president.
Romney believes that Obama has not been on the people’s side by not looking at their incomes. His reign was seen with increased unemployment rate and economic depressions. Mitt believes that he is capable of ensuring that the country becomes independent of foreign energy before the year 2020. He also talks of boosting trade that perfectly works for the US, greater public schools and greater access to higher education.
Mitt Romney campaigns against Democrats President Barack Obama is based on the belief that the president interfered with the US position as the best place to find a job, hire workers, or even starts businesses. Obama has caused this through borrowing and heavy taxing. The country is said to be in an economic depression and Mitt Romney believes to be the perfect candidate to secure its future. Others believe that Mitt is only sharpening his chance for the seat and that Obama is not yet through with what he promised to do. This group of individuals does not find reality in the Mitt and only keep on congratulating the US president for what he has done for the country and the world.
